BIO

Jared began taking the stage as a standup comedian at twenty-three. His knack for making people laugh caught the attention of industry veterans, leading to an audition for the esteemed show MadTV. It was during this time that he had the privilege of collaborating with comedic legends Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty and Robin Duke.

Jared played a pivotal role in shaping Toronto's alternative comedy scene, co-founding and producing live shows like Canker, Righteous Wednesdays, Not Safe For Work, and Laugh Sabbath. His efforts with the Sketchersons, a comedy troupe, earned him the prestigious Best Comedy Sketch Troupe award at the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2007.

As Jared's comedy evolved, he ventured into video production, blending his humor with captivating visuals. In the early days of platforms like YouTube, Myspace, and Funny or Die, his content skyrocketed in popularity and put on the front page, racking up millions of views and earning him international recognition. Known for his sharp wit and top-notch production values, Jared's work transitioned into television and found its way onto major networks such as NBC, CBS, ABC, The Today Show, FX UK and more captivating audiences across the globe.

Jared also produced video content for comedian Sean Cullen which was seen on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and the Barenaked Ladies Ships and Dips cruise. The two also collaborated on a CBC show entitled Sean’s House as well as a late night pilot.

In 2011, co-created and directed the sitcom Guidance which ran for two seasons on BiteTV in Canada. Jared was nominated for Best TV Director at the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2012.

Jared's creative path took a musical detour when he wrote and directed viral ads to celebrate the release of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream album.

With a knack for bringing musicians' visions to life, Jared shifted his focus towards directing highly acclaimed live action and animated music videos and live visual design for concerts. He has since collaborated with renowned artists like Broken Social Scene, Do Make Say Think, Trans Am, Charles Spearin, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Brave Shores, and more, creating visually stunning and captivating live experiences. His animation has also been played at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Jared has taught film production at Humber College and was a featured speaker on the subject of viral media at Ryerson University.
